The Bahamas - Our Port

Though we work in association with all major product providers worldwide, our base is in The Bahamas. This small island nation has tremendous benefits for investors.

Banking secrecy and fiscal system: The Banking secrecy rivals that of the Swiss. There is no capital gains tax, dividend tax, stamp duty on banking transactions, inheritance taxes, income or corporate taxes. Also, there is no withholding tax for clients residing in Europe.

Strategic position: This archipelago of 700 islands is in the same time zone as New York and is a 2 hour flight away. Miami is a mere 45 minutes.

Economy and political system: The Bahamian dollar is pegged to the US dollar and The Bahamas boasts the highest GDP per-capita in the Caribbean ($18,000). Tourism and finance are the main GDP sources for the country. The political system is just as stable. It has a Parliamentary democracy with bicameral model. It gained its independence from Great Britain in 1973 and is part of the British Commonwealth.

Financial centre: The Bahamas has offered financial services since 1930. The country has 350 banks and trust companies, half with physical presence and 35 amongst the biggest in the world. In total, it hosts more than 6,000 bankers with more than $1.5 trillion in assets, of which $400 billion are assets of private clients, making it the 5th largest off-shore private banking centre in the world with a market share of 6%, after Switzerland (27%), UK/Channel Islands (24%), Luxembourg (12%) and Singapore (7%).
